From 2002 through 2011, Plant Group was the independent engineer on the Jamaica Highway 2000 project. Working for RBTT Merchant Bank and Transjamaican Highways (Bouygues/Vinci), we participated in the design and construction of over 260 lane kilometres of highway, four toll plazas and numerous structures valued at over US$400 million. The highly acclaimed project has been a model for private-public cooperation in a developing country.
Plant Group participated broadly during the start-up of the US$652 million Port of Miami Tunnel Project. The professional services we provided to Bouygues Civil Works Florida included assistance with retention of design consultants (Jacobs, Langan and AECOM); management of the design services contract during project start-up; participation in the risk management process, implementation of value engineering recommendations and assistance with scheduling, establishment of procurement policies, quality management and compliance management. In addition, Plant Group prepared monthly invoices, liaised with the Lenders' Independent Engineer (ARUP) and assisted with claims management.
